Submitting articles to the article directories is a commonly used tactic for boosting traffic. It has been effective since the conception of Internet marketing and is still an effective traffic generation technique even in our Web 2.0 times.

There are often questions over the best tactic of submitting articles for maximum traffic and effectiveness. Which are the most effective methods?

The primary approach is to submit your article to the granddaddy of all article directories, EzineArticles. This site has a well earned reputation of being the best in the world. It has won over marketers and Google for this very reason.

A lot marketers find themselves getting annoyed due to the very strict submission guidelines and long timescales for approval.

If you read the submission rules and adhere to them, then it isn’t a problem.

Once your articles are in EzineArticles you instantly receive benefits from it. Articles in this directory usually rank well in Google, even without any backlinks pointing to them.

Throw in a few backlinks and your articles will rank well for keywords. In fact, even without backlinks they can repeatedly rank well just because they are on Ezinearticles.

After your article has been published you can do some straightforward backlinking to it to give it a boost up the search engines.

Initially, take your EzineArticle author RSS feed and submit it to RSS directories. You can do it manually or purchase a tool to do it for you. Just choose the top ten directories in Google for now if you are doing it manually. You can always submit to other directories later on.

You can also use one of the many ping sites to ping your article. This gives EzineArticles itself a boost as well as getting your article noticed.

Finally, social bookmark your article. This too can be done either manually or with a tool. If your article is newsworthy and well written then you can look at adding it to sites such as Digg or Stumbleupon to get additional links and traffic.

Of course, there are numerous article directories on the Internet, but none of them rank as well as EzineArticles. Google Knoll is doing very well with gathering favor from marketers. So far though, these don’t appear to be ranking as well as Ezinearticles, but it is a excellent manner to get the Big G to take note of your web sites.

For the other article directories it isn’t worth submitting articles by hand to them, except maybe the top half a dozen best known directories. Many of the rest get minimal traffic it is not worthwhile, except for the backlink. Therefore you should outsource or automate these submissions.

If you are marketing with articles then you need to make sure they are on Ezinearticles for maximum traffic. With a bit of backlinking to your article and you will easily find your articles ranking well for their keywords and bringing you good traffic.

Promosi Blog: Pengantar

Guys… Tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa promosi blog adalah salah satu hal yang sangat vital dalam pengelolaan blog, dimana setiap blogger pasti memiliki keinginan agar blognya bisa dikenal luas di blogosphere. Promosi blog menjadi hal yang sangat menarik untuk dipelajari karena seiring dengan semakin pesatnya perkembangan industri blog, fasilitas lainnya yang berhubungan dengan dunia blog juga ikut berkembang. Sebut saja social bookmarking dan social blogging yang memungkinkan interaksi antar blogger menjadi lebih mudah, intensif, menarik dan lebih bermanfaat.

PageRank Google Update Hari Ini

Guys… Wah ternyata setelah hujan deras yang melanda Medan dan sekitarnya yang dibarengi dengan padamnya Listrik di tempatku sekarang “jadi buruh”, ada kabar yang menggembirakan buatku pribadi. Ya… mengandalkan asupan listrik mesin genset ketika hujan sudah mulai agak reda, aku menghidupkan “alat perangku” untuk mulai beraktifitas kembali, yaitu membuat design baru untuk website orangutan information centre. Website yang masih menggunakan teknologi HTML murni alias web statis ini akan kurubah menggunakan engine WordPress. Tadinya sih mau selingkuh pakai joomla agar bisa lebih interaktif. Namun karena keterbatasan skill akhirnya kuurungkan niat tersebut dan tetap setia pada WordPress :D

Sambil melanjutkan koprek-koprek sana-sini, iseng-iseng aku membuka blog matre ini dan melihat pada google toolbar browser firefox yang aku gunakan, ternyata ada perubahan pagerank… Wah… PageRank blog ini ternyata jadi 3. Lumayanlah… Daripada PageRank 2 kan lebih baik PageRank 3. Lebih nendang untuk di monetasi :P
