Guys… Tahukah kamu bahwa setiap tanggal 22 April diperingati sebagai Earth Day atau Hari Bumi??? Rabu, 22 April 2009 ini adalah kali ke-39 Hari Bumi diperingati diseluruh dunia. Peringatan ini tercetus atas prakarsa Senator Gaylord Nelson. Kalau kamu mau tau sedikit sejarah tentang hari bumi, silahkan lihat postinganku tahun lalu yang berjudul Selamat Ulang Tahun Bumiku.

Nah… Pada kesempatan kali ini aku ingin mengintkan bahwa SUDAH SAATNYA KITA LEBIH PEDULI TERHADAP KONDISI BUMI DAN SUMBERDAYA ALAM DIDALAMNYA.

Bencana alam (banjir, tanah longsor, kebakaran hutan, dsb) yang melanda dan meresahkan kehidupan telah menimbulkan banyak kerugian. Lenyapnya harta benda, rusaknya tempat tinggal, sampai menyebabkan hilangnya nyawa bagi manusia, ditambah lagi dengan hilangnya keanekaragaman hayati atau biodiversity dari flora dan fauna Indonesia yang terkenal kaya. Ini terjadi akibat ulah manusia sendiri yang masih kurang peduli terhadap kelangsungan bumi dan kondisi alamnya.
