Congratz Obama: The Audacity of Hope
Yups… Congratz to Obama, the next US President for 2008-2012. Akhirnya Obama terpilih menjadi Presiden Amerika Serikat untuk 4 tahun mendatang dan menggantikan George Bush yang menurut pandanganku pribadi gagal membuat Amerika menjadi negara yang lebih baik dan lebih bersahabat kepada negara-negara dunia ketiga. Semoga dengan terpilihnya Obama ini mampu memperbaiki citra Amerika sehingga permusuhan-permusuhan antara negara-negara lainnya dengan Amerika akan memudar dan perdamaian dunia serta keutuhan ciptaan akan semakin terpelihara.
Obama telah menyuarakan Change! atau perubahan. Perubahan yang dimaksudkannya bisa kita saksikan pada video-video kampanyenya yang banyak beredar di Youtube. Sebenarnya hal yang mendasari kata Change yang Obama pakai sebagai “jargon” kampanyenya bermula sejak tahun 2004 ketika ada konvensi Partai Demokrat untuk memilih Senator dan pada saat itu Obama sukses terpilih menjadi Senator dari partai Demokrat. Pidatonya yang sangat terkenal dan sangat inspiratif yang juga dibukukan adalah Audacity of Hope atau Menerjang Harapan merupakan intisari dari kata Change! yang Obama maksud.
Berikut ini adalah poin-poin penting yang Obama sampaikan dalam Audacity of Hope. Lihatlah betapa open-mindednya obama memandang permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi Amerika dan dunia. Thats why I like this guy :)
